A song dealing with mental unrest, especially depression, and the myriad difficult effects it can have in relationships.
Often, sufferers of extreme anxiety or depression will label themselves as a burden to others. Stress in relationships often arises from miscommunication or misunderstanding, and false or misleading thoughts can cause these things to manifest very quickly.
The sturdiest relationships are those where the sense of vulnerability is mutual. Mental disquiet is often hard to put into words or to find concrete help with. The message repeated throughout this song is that there may not be an immediate cure to the problems at hand, but that there is, at the very least, a level of partnership and understanding that will keep a tether on the relationship. The solution may never present itself, but sometimes all someone needs to hear is reassurance that the experience is deeply felt. "I know what you're going through, I've been there."

lyrics
Your rainbows are turning grey
Your wings are cracked and dry
Your heart’s awash with rain
And I see those downcast eyes
Stuck in the old repeat
“It’s all in your head”
Need a new philosophy
Kill the noise, kill it dead
No soul I knew
Was so resilient
No eyes I knew
Would shine so brilliant
The madness running through you
Runs deeper than blue, yeah
My shackles keep me weighed
My wings may never fly
My battles last through days
And you want a part of this life?
Sick of the old repeat
“It’s all in your/my head”
Can you/I just find a remedy?
Kill the noise, kill it dead
No soul I knew
Was so resilient
No eyes I knew
Would shine so brilliant
The madness running through you
Runs deeper than blue
Come to me, crack the shell
Spill your mind, pare the clouds
There is love inside yourself
Bursting to be let out
Come to me, crack the shell
Spill your mind, pare the clouds
There is love inside yourself
Bursting to be let out
You try and break the mold
But you’re stuck in a square hole
If you can shape your soul
Why can’t they loose their stranglehold?
Don’t let the darkness pull you in
‘Cos still a light may glow
I am your harness, thick and thin
Don’t turn your gaze below
No soul I knew
Was so resilient
No eyes I knew
Would shine so brilliant
If your demons only knew
I’m your sworn protector
Out with the old, in with the new
I’m your sole defender
The madness running through you
(Through you)
Runs deeper than blue, yeah
(Running deeper than blue, yeah)
(Running deeper than blue, yeah)
(Running deeper than blue)

Absolutely sublime, an essential to any MIDI enthusiast. Vanilla compatible as well.
Of course if you don't know, you should play BTSX using a source port of your choice: You can use ZDL to load up source ports and cleanly select multiple pk3s and WADs to run.
The interface of ZDL is a bit clunky but, to play BTSX all you would really need to do is drag and drop the WAD to a sourceport exe to launch it.
I recommend GZDoom for utility, Woof for authenticity, and DSDA if you're speedy boi. BrickDickRick

Found through an interesting discussion and post on secrets. I haven't actually played this WAD but the soundtrack by Stuart Rynn is just so much fun... particularly the Jazz Machine. Only really great stuff puts me in a good mood these days, and this sure delivers in that regard. Big recommend. Real sense of that feeling of adventure. Wolfwatching Music
